CHRIS? RERT:PO PALACE ENTERTAINMENT WILL SOON BE THE NEW OWNER OF ADVENTURELD.AN IN FACT, IT MAY WELL ALREADY BE THE NEW OWNER, BECAUSE A SPOKESPERSON AN HOUR AGO TOLD US THE DEAL WAS CLOSING TODAY. WE DID ASK THE PALACE ENTERTAINMENT SPOKESPERSON ABOUT WHETHER THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE REASONS BEHIND THE SALE. HE SAID HE WAS NOT ABLE TO TALK ABOUT THE REASONS THE FAMILY DECIDED TO SELL ADVENTURELAND. ALTHOUGH HE DID EXPAND ON THE COMPANY’S COMMITMENT TO SAFETY. Adventureland unveils another new ride on social media
Adventureland Park in Altoona unveiled another new ride set to debut this summer.The park shared images of The Clipper on Facebook. Adventureland describes the new ride as a small swinging boat ride. It’s been placed near The Galleon.“Now pirates of all ages can ride on the high seas,” Adventureland said on Facebook.The park announced in September that it would remove three rides and add 10 additional attractions.The Lighthouse, Falling Star and Lady Luck rides have been removed from the park to make room for the additional new rides.Last week, the park shared a sneak peek of the new Lighthouse ride.In late December, the park also announced new ownership. Adventureland was acquired by Palace Entertainment.
