53 Android Phones and iPhones Threatened to Cannot Use WhatsApp
Starting November 1, 2021, WhatsApp will no longer be used on several Android phones and iPhones. Especially Android phones and older iPhone models that are still running the old operating system (OS).
WhatsApp announced that Android smartphones running Android OS 4.0.4 (Android Ice Cream Sandwich) or earlier can no longer access WhatsApp through the official website. Likewise, iPhones that are still running iOS 9 or earlier will suffer the same fate.
WhatsApp urges users who still rely on the device to update the OS to a newer version or replace the device immediately. Also read November 1, iPhone stuck on iOS 9 can no longer use WhatsApp.
The minimum requirements determined by WhatsApp to continue using its services are Android devices running the Android operating system 4.1 or later and iOS 10 or above versions.
Based on these minimum requirements, around 53 Android and iPhone smartphones are threatened to no longer use WhatsApp starting next month.
